Any problems or easy upgrades/downgrades to my first pc build?

So, safe to say i’m excited to order my first ever pc but i want to get it right, can anyone tell me any issues or semi-cheap upgrades to make this pc better? i’m looking to use it for gaming and content creating (editing and streaming). Just thought i would throw this up here just in case, it is a lot of money. If any help can be provided i would be very grateful.
The cost is £1218, i would even be open to some easy downgrades if they’re more appropriate.

I must be honest, it’s not a great build. We can help with this however...

Firstly, what is your budget and uses? Is a monitor included in the budget? And can you share the link to the build (bottom of the page, where you copy the specs)

As abov, plus do you have more storage as you've only got a small and slow system drive, personally I'd recommend a 500 GB M.2 such as the 970 for system drive and a 1TB PCS M.2 for games

This is the sort of build you'd be looking at with a 1080p 144hz monitor and a £100 budget increase (which is needed realistically). It'll be a perfectly acceptable gamer but it's not really a build I'd recommend for streaming and content creation. For a more comfortable build for that you'd be looking in the reigon of £1,500 and for the ideal build you'd be looking at £2K (both for the tower alone).

This build should provide a solid basis for future upgradability with a good motherboard and large wattage PSU, so if you want to jump in now and upgrade over time, that's something you could do. Although it' definitely won't be the best streaming and content creation PC experience.

i changed the storage to 1tb sea gate thingy, is this enough storage for general streaming and gaming?

I’ll use this as a base set of components and see if i can upgrade the necessary parts to be good enough for streaming and stuff. any big recommendations? i’m almost entirely new to the pc community coming from xbox. thanks so much

£1200 for a computer and monitor just isn't realistic at the minute unfortunately. The market at the minute is in shambles and prices are through the roof, anything you build at that price range is going to be severely compromised. I'd recommend upping the budget to £1500 including the monitor and that will give you room to work with. It's the difference between a computer that will last 2 years and computer than will last 5-7

also, i go to save the quote and it says i have a 850W power supply and only need like 450, is this something i should be worried about?

Nah the extra power is on purpose, it gives the machine room to breathe which will extend the life of the PSU it also gives you plenty of room to add components and make upgrades over the years.

That PSU will outlive the rest of the components in the build it's a great piece of kit and a steal at the price PCS offer it

last question, warranty, can i add parts without voiding the warranty or over locking and stuff ( which i don’t know how to do but eh)

Overclocking will void your warranty but you have no need to do it anyways. The performance gains on the new CPU's while overclocking are not worth it for gaming.

You can add parts as you like without affecting the warranty, PCS have an open case policy and as long as you're not careless and damage the items yourself there shouldn't be any problems with the warranty

Overclocking the CPU is OK, it's only the GPU that will void the warranty. As suggested though, you wouldn't want to overclock the AMD chips. They boost to 5ghz just fine on their own :D

With the primary drive I would look for 500GB. If the 980 Pro is a touch too much then the 500GB PCS offering is just fine :)

So, i like the idea of saving money, but which owns which? am i moving the 1st m.2 ssd drive to 500gb and then removing the 2nd 1TB? And in regards to delivery, i don’t mind spending a little bit on getting it quicker, however don’t think it can go any quicker than the 14-16 working (which is fine, the wait isn’t of my concerns) and thank you so much for your help, i would be in debt if it wasn’t for this support :)

The idea behind having 2 SSD's is that Windows goes on one and your everything else go on the other. That means, if you have to reinstall windows or reset the drive or anything, you don't also have to wait for all the other stuff to install as they'll be unharmed on another drive. If you were to go with a single SSD layout, I'd recommend a 1TB drive as 500GB is hardly any storage for a gaming PC these days.

If you're happy with a slight price increase, the 500GB Samsung 970 is a great drive that's still blisteringly quick and double the storage for only £20 more, if you'd like to save, as @Scott stated above, the PCS drives are a great bargain and I'd go for the 512GB version and keep the 1TB PCS drive. If you were to go for a single drive layout, just go for the fastest 1TB one you can put in your budget (the Firecuda 520 comes to a similar price)
