i saw somewhere where a guy allocated some of his RAM to his graphics card similar to how the integrated graphics work but this was used by the actual graphics card

does anyone know how this can be done, it would be useful to allocate some with my 1.25GB 570s smaller amount

Didnt think you could, otherwise what would be the point in a 3GB GTX 580 over a 1.5GB one, as far as I know, and I may be wrong, you can only up the mem on a onbaord card, this is because the ram is what it uses as its vram anyway

I think what you are looking for is AGP Aperture, And unless you've got an old computer you can stop looking Wozza.

Only really possible with onboard gpu's like has been said where the memory is shared.

Not so common nowadays.
