Bad guys?

Im wondering whether i should buy a computer from Pc specialist, as they seem to have quite a few horrible cases of rip offs. My concern is only increased by the fact, that the monotonous good reviews looks bought. I live in denmark, and the fact i need to ship the lot to Britain, possibly multiple times for what the comments say, really doesn't appeal to me.
I really need a highspec computer, and have 1000 pounds + to spend, but i really need some sort of guarantee.
The fact that the website is buggy really doesn't convince me either-

Please don't be insulted, and understand my suspicion, it is hard to find that good prices nowadays.

Many retailers have bad reviews, what matters to me is how customer service approaches them. I can honestly say that PCS is the best retailer I have dealt with so far. It is difficult to get an unbiased review on a PCS forum but I can assure you that my review was honest, why is the website buggy?

Thanks already, i know that you can find complaints about any brand, my point was mainly to see if they allowed bad response getting through, the fact i was allowed to post that is a good sign- I tried logging into the website from a very old computer, and i both had problems logging in and ordering. it was first when i got home to my notebook i was able to use it- and even still i sometime experience a crash when choosing "Denmark" as my delivery. if i choose any other country it works fine.
Anyways, i guess most peoples problems are just compatibility. Does the collect and return work for other countries than Britain too? or will i need to pay myself?

PCs have just upgraded their website and forum and thus will have a few bugs. Thats only natural. As for allowing negative or outspoken threads, Since I joined in Feb I have seen many posts from people saying how they feel be it good or bad. I have never experienced PCs "hiding" from a post. Personally my own experience with PCs has been very good, and I live in Dublin, Ireland and had to get all my stuff delivered to here. I also got the 1 yr collect and return warranty with no issues.

Warranty 3 Year Silver Warranty (1 Year Collect & Return, 1 Year Parts, 3 Year Labour) (£5)

I would have no hesitation in recommending PCs regardless of where you live. Competitive prices, Excellent after sales/customer support, from what Iv seen in the forums, fast RMA turn around (Not that I have first hand experience here). Cant go wrong really.

that the monotonous good reviews looks bought

PS : I do NOT work for PCs or have any connection with them whatsoever.

I was just wondering if anyone had any figures for the percentage of orders which have problems and need replacement parts or to be sent back.

I realise that more people will post on the forums if they have problems than if everything goes perfectly, so I thought getting accurate information from PCS would help to make things clearer.

RMA rates vary from part to part and differ on laptops as opposed to pc's etc. Faults are caused by malfunction, or misuse, and occur after 1 day or 3 years. A simple percentage figure would not in any way, shape or form provide one iota of useful info for you, given have no way to break this down into parts, timescales, systems, nature of fault etc.The info helps us because if we see a particular part having an increase in failures we can address this with the manufacturer, or a particular builders pc's are having more issus than another then we can see if there doing there job correctly. But this is a lengthy process of data mining to aide us improve our products and not something that we plan to divulge.

Have to agree with others and say PCS is the best retailer I have dealt with. I think the fact that the staff join in on the forums is a great asset to the company, shows a people and community minded attitude - also shows they have nothing to hide.

I think it's safe to say no-matter where you buy stuff from, there are always people who have problems with what they buy. From my experiences the community has been really helpful with any questions I had regarding the laptop i'm going to buy, and from reading other people's problem posts, they seem to have great customer service aswell, hope this helps you make your mind up
