Pre production is the longest period, there is a good chance as you've been waiting so long that an item you ordered is out of stock. Do not despair, as soon as its in stock and your 'first' in the queue to get one, you'll be next in line!

thats a long wait mate, i agree with being patient, but i'd have been on the phone a few times. You must have the patience of a saint!

i'd probably give them a bell.

I've talked to them on live chat and they say the chassis is out of stock and that they will be getting stock this week.

I ordered a Vortex III 680m on the 10th Sept. I have been told that the 680m was out of stock but that it is due in on the 3rd Oct.

I have ordered an Optimus 15.6 inch laptop which has been in pre production for 8 days now - thought it was taking too long until I read some of the posts in this thread - I have now had a chat with online support who says chassis is expected end of week or early next week - so fingers crossed! bit of a shame as my previous desktop ordered through pcspecialist arrived very quickly!

I would imagine it depends upon the demand, sounds pretty high to be honest. If there is good stock and you get a LOT of people asking for the same thing, there is a good chance they will run out. Then you get a snowball effect of having to wait for new stock whilst getting more orders for the product the supplier has tried to order.

Im very pleased to say The Guys @ pcspecialists came through for me and It pays to pay extra for fast track. With regards to customer service, Wayne was realy helpfull with the adjustment of my order.

As for the Vortex III, Fast as Hell. 3DMark Vantage 39665, GPU-35337 CPU-63698.
Thats with dual 680 and i7-3840QM 16GB Ram dual 120GB 520`s

Big thumbs Up

That configuration is something that I would order myself: 39.6k in Vantage - I'll need to look up now how much a desktop GTX 680 scores. :devil2:

Yamikotai, if he's reaching those scores, I bet he knows what he's doing. :-D

P.S. A desktop stock GTX 680 with a Core i7 965 Extreme @ 3750 MHz does 29k in total, 32.2k for GPU.

No way: desktop SLI GTX 680 with i7 965E = 37.7k, GPU score = 45.8k, which is only 6k higher than D1G1TaLW0RlD's SLI 680Ms. That i7 965E may be bottlenecking their total score, but still.
