Blinking LED fan lights from new pc

Hello, my pc is working fine, but I heard a strange noise coming from one of the side fans in my case so I took the side panel off and tried to see if it was hitting a wire- it wasn't. Satisfied, I rebooted my pc and now I think the noise has stopped, but now a different fans led is blinking- should I be worried? I've only had the pc a week.

By blinking do you just mean random flashing? If so does the speed of the fans remain constant or does it change when the LED flashes?

The LED stopped working after blinking for the whole day after it started, but all of sudden it's now working again perfectly- however now I'm hearing really quiet grinding noises coming from the pc (I think it's another case fan) and in certain games I hear an even louder grinding noise which causes screen tearing- anyone know what is happening?

Find out where that sound is coming from it could be HDD, PSU, GPU, CPU fan or chassis fan.

I'm almost certain it's a chassis fan- no one else can hear the noise it makes but me apparently, it's hard to explain what it is.....the fan isn't stuck on anything but when stopped the noise also stops- its really killing my ears to the point where I'd rather not use the pc, can I just remove the fan? I have fans on the other side of the chassis.

Thats not good. Sounds like a knackered fan. The LED's are wired directly in to the fan circuit so increase and decrease in brightness depending on the voltage applied and speed of the fan. If the fan is powered and turning, and the LED is blinking or off then you have a broken wire, or bad connection. There is nothing you can do with the fan. Simply replace it. Bad connections cause sparking and in turn this caused RF interference. This can affect the low voltage circuits of a computer. It is most noticeable in the screen display and will certainly effect wifi signals. An easy test will be disconnect the fan. If you have plenty fans then do that until you get a new one. It won't make too much of a difference if you have plenty more fitted.

I'm going to be honest, I feel helpless. I have no idea what I'm doing inside this pc and don't want to take the risk of messing around with it. There's just one problem after another after another and I have only had the thing a week. I don't know what I can do- I don't even want to use it because the sounds it makes drive me insane. It turns out every time I now start a game it makes a grinding noise which I think I'd coming from my graphics card. I'm so lost.

Best give PCS a call, they will try to talk you through a solution to the problem, failing that they may ask you if you want to return the PC for repair if necessary.

Yeah, thats not a good sign. A poor quality build! Let PCS deal with it. Lately I have been noticing a lot of defective PC's being shipped to customers which are later found to be faulty. My one was too 3 years ago. Makes you wonder!!!

I have trawled the internet for weeks for something like this! I have had the exact same problem with a computer custom build from UK gaming computers. firstly after no longer than 3 months of having it the power supply went in which case I had to send it off to be replaced and I personally had to pay the courier costs to get it there which is abysmal customer service. I then got it back and no longer than another 2 months down the line I had this problem, screen would blank out to a completely random colour screen during only gameplay of any game not even high end games I then rang them ran through some tests mainly video card test (mark3d) which it passed completely perfect but the screen issue hadn't been resolved I was then told to send it off to them which I did and this time had to pay for delivery and to get it back in courier due to not having the old box it came in which is horrendous because 6 months on they still expect a box to be in the condition it came in is ridiculous and after 5 days of them working on it they said it was completely fine there was no issue with the system and that they'd have to ship it back which I said ok too then was told I would have to pay a 50.00 pound no problems found charge all this after ive paid them 1,800 pound for the system itself. so including all the costs of courier it cost me over 200.00 pounds to have it sent back and forth and low and behold... the problem is still there after 3 weeks of fine gameplay.. this is annoying me to the point of no return can anyone help!!
