Clicking hard drive warranty?

Hi, the hard drive from my Vortex 3 has broken and makes whirring and beeping sounds and doesn't boot Windows, it isn't detected by my laptop and I'm pretty sure all my college work is gone.

My question is: Would my silver warranty cover this? And how would I get a replacement? Call? Send my entire laptop? Send the hard drive?

Pretty clueless as to how I would go about it lol

Would prefer not having to pay £50 for a new one, and while I'm sure its not possible without paying a huge amount of money, but could I recover anything from it?

PCS will send you a replacement if they agree the drive is faulty,usually you would need to have the faulty drive ready packaged to exchange.

Thanks. I'm assuming Pc specialist wouldn't attempt to recover anything from the drive when I send it off?

Not unless you purchased the data protection as part of your rig unfortunately. I guess you could ask them to though? Although they may charge you for it. Best ask them directly I think.
