Custom Pre-built Pre-order

If you do music/audio editing, go with B550-F. For any other cases go for B550-PLUS is a CPU isn't 8 cores or more (in that case X570 would be better).

What would be a PC for? What's a monitor and a budget? Best is to seek for advise on the whole build, not just separate components.

Is there anything wrong with the previous recommendations?

No, theres nothing wrong with the recommendations, its just i was wondering what the difference between the two mobos was since one was cheaper than the other, if its a lot more worth it going for the more expensive mobo than i'll get that one but i was just curious to see if i could cuz out a few ££

i just saw that TUF gaming mobo only has 1 m.2 drive slots, so i'll stick with the Strix mobo, thanks guys!

Oh snap, looks like im a dumbass, since theres two I may go with the tuff mobo. So only gen 3 m.2 are compatible with the TUF mobo?
The answer is Yes.

Gen 3 and Gen 4 means very little: they have same connection, it only describes the speeds. Meaning that you can run Gen 3 M.2 SSD in a Gen 4 M.2 slot but you still get only speeds as per the M.2 storage. But if you buy two Gen 4 super fast M.2, one of then will work slower because there's only one Gen 4 slot, meaning the other M.2 (in the Gen 3 slot) would be limited speed as per Gen 3 slot capabilities.

OHH, Sorry for my dumbass haha, thanks guys. Other than m.2 drives, what other MAJOR differences are there between the two? should i just go with the TUF mobo to cut the price?
It's the VRM's that are more important than anything, the Strix has a far better VRM setup which is important with Ryzen 5000.

If it were me on any B550 I wouldn't go lower than the strix. But with the 5600x, it's not really so important.

Your choice.

The first questions I'd be interesting to know is when you'd be upgrading a monitor to 1440p? If within a year, I'd pick a 1440p GPU straight away as there's no point in paying twice.

What particular software you'd be using for a light graphic design?

And the most important to the end :) What's your budget without a monitor? Ideally best is to get a PC for 1440p and a 1440p monitor together right now.

I'll most likely get a new monitor by the end of this year.

Softwares such as Photoshop and Illustrator, though i am not too bother about them as i have a macbook pro 16 to do all the graphic designing on

My Monitor budget will be around £150, below £200 though. I can't get a new monitor and the PC together as I only have a budget of 1.4k and id have £18 spare after this PC purchase, so i'd rather get a good pc now and upgrade monitor later on.

Prices are going to fluctuate a lot at the minute. If you save your quote it keeps the price locked for 5 days I believe
