Desktop Build Advice

Hello, I was hoping someone could help answer my question on graphic cards. I’m building a pc on pcs website and looking at the RTX 4070ti or the 4080. I’ve noticed it doesn’t specify which brand these cards are and was hoping someone may know which brand pcs tend to use and whether they are a good brand?

Thanks in advance

Hello, could I please ask for people opinions on this build I am looking to order. The main purpose of this build will be for gaming. My monitor will with be the Samsung Odysessy G7 27” or the Dell S2722DGM. I was wondering about the graphics card. The one shown will be a Palit or Zotac. Is it worth me getting the build without a card and buying my own RTX 4070ti ASUS Strix OC or will I not really notice the difference. Any advice is welcome, thanks.

Gigabyte motherboards have had some very very shady dealings with this generation, and IMHO are worth avoiding, but also, they double up beep codes and generally have other bugs that can make troubleshooting extremely challenging.

With regards to GPU, people get very confused.

A GPU is actually simply the chip on the card that looks like this, the blue square part:

NVIDIA-AD104-Ada-GPU-For-GeForce-RTX-4070-Ti-Graphics-Card-_2.jpg

A graphics card is the board design and power relays and cooling shroud.

All GPU's are the same, no matter what brand or model you buy, so it doesn't matter if it's an Asus OC, or a Palit non overclock, they're all using the same nVidia 4070ti chip (and AMD cards all use AMD chips)

These days, because of the way chip design has become, there's almost no benefit in an overclocked card, as modern GPU's automatically overclock themselves as standard.

For very niche uses like render farms or heavy calculations on scientific workflows that go on solidly for days on end, there would be an argument for a premium graphics card as the improved cooling could come in beneficial for those high stress applications.

But for gaming, it literally makes no difference.
