Ethernet Port Not Working, Please help

I recently Received my new Skyfire II laptop with the Gigabit LAN and WIRELESS 802.11N CARD INC. BLUETOOTH network card. the wireless works perfectly fine, but when i come to use the ethernet port on the laptop it doesnt seem to work, am i missing something? I Have a feeling it might be drivers or something like that. but i have no clue when it comes to LAN and wireless cards.

Is anything showing amiss in device manager.

Okay, I've actually got it working now. The port wasn't showing up anywhere. but there were some drivers on the disc that came with the laptop, but oddly they are for Killer series wireless and lan network stuff. but I'm certain the ones i have are Intel.
