Hi - Hope this is in the right Section - my son in law is trying to get his playstation to recognise his external hard drive (so that he can put pictures from his drive on to the playstation) and he has been told that he needs to format his external hard drive to FAT 32.....how does he do this please.
If you could explain step by step that would be great.
Appreciate any help
Dave

Assuming you're running Windows 7 -

- connect the drive to the PC
- click "Computer" on the start menu and look at the hard disk drives
- right click the external drive and click "Format..."
- choose FAT32 from the list of options and click "Start"

Job done. :)

NOTE: Formatting the drive will delete all data on it so make sure it's backed up first!
