It helps to know which games you are playing and which settings you are playing them on. For example Battlefield Hardline you will probably be able to play on a medium-low settings but an older or less demanding game like Half-Life 2 you can probably run at high-ultra settings.

What's your ventilation like? Do you keep the laptop on a soft surface or anything?

I have the cosmos II with an i7-4710mq and 850m and don't have any issues like that, guess it's something to do with temperatures. download CPUID HWMonitor and run it while playing games, it will check temps for you :)

it also just starts on low fps now, use to be awesome until 4 days ago when it started going from 120 fps to this

Did you check temps?

And have you installed any new drivers around the time it started to drop? Or download any programs from unverified sources?

Didn't install anything new and temp seems fine, I've requested a RMA after speaking to one of there technicians, i will let you know the outcome.

what temps were you getting?

Have you tried uninstalling your graphics drivers and re-installing them?

Well it's never been hot at all, it new so the heat is gonna be low, yes pcspecialist sent me software which uninstalls all graphic drivers and reinstalled them

Did you actually monitor the temps with software? Feeling temperatures won't tell you anything, you need to monitor the temps with a program like hwmonitor or speccy.

Looks like an issue with the gpu, since you were getting 3fps yet your card was at near idle temps.

Would you be able to use HWMonitor while playing a game and upload the temps of that? I know that it's new so you think temps shouldn't be high, but it would be an issue with the thermal compound or fans. That temp just seems very low, plus doesn't give the cpu temp

Just a quick one, it may not apply to you but it's worth a shot.

A lot of issues I've found with laptops not performing graphics wise have been because some laptops actually have two graphics cards, one built into the motherboards chipset and a second one which is a dedicated card.

On these set ups the software on the laptop is supposed to switch between the two depending on the task, built in for general desktop applications, dedicated for gaming etc.

What I have seen a lot of is the software doesn't switch for some reason and you end up trying to play games on the built in gpu which can't handle them.

Might that apply to you? If so is there a way you can set it so it always uses the dedicated gpu?

Might not apply to you but it's worth mentioning.

Yeah, thought that too, but in the screen shot it shows the 850m which i would've thought wouldn't show up if it was using the integrated graphics

It can sometimes display a different name to what it is actually using. I'm on my PC atm and don't have my laptop with me so I can't check but somewhere in the Nvidia Control Panel is where you can manually add programs to use the high performance graphics processor.
