First of all, delivery was great, they managed a next day delivery (around 6pm) despite the fact I'm near Aberdeen, so about as far north as you can get without ending up with a Highlands charge. Box and all components were fine, they even added a VGA/DMI converter which is useful as one of my monitors is VGA only. Tho' it would have been nice to have been informed of this, as I almost went out to buy an adaptor before the system arrived, and would have been annoyed if I had wasted time as a result.

System appeared well built and everything was installed properly. Set up was ok, although they hadn't installed Chrome, despite me requesting it. I'm guessing this isn't possible for a next day PC, but then it's still on the order page, so a bit misleading. The system set itself up fine, although it took quite a bit of time to get everything sorted. Unfortunately the Bullguard internet security thing is worse than useless - I got a trojan literally ten minutes after I went online. Partly my own fault, but you'd expect a paid for security app to pick these things up - I installed AVG as soon as I realised what was up and it found the problem straight away. Not the end of the world, as I used the repair function to restore the comp to factory settings, and got rid of all the PCS branding on the desktop as an added bonus.

Performance wise the system is fine, nice and quick loading up and able to handle all the relatively modern games with no problem. It also runs Synergy fine, which allows me to link it to my laptop thus retaining mobility. That was the main reason for getting this comp - my laptop was struggling to manage two external monitors and run anything demanding, so I figured it's best to go desktop for the extra graphics power.

That said, the system isn't as powerful as I'd thought it might be, and there are definite moments when it struggles to handle all the tasks I have open. It's not a problem if you are only doing one or two things at once, but I use it for work with 10+ windows and programs open at once, and it starts to slow down just a bit on occasions when I do. It's something I'm happy to put up with, as the slowdown is infrequent, never major, and doesn't affect games, only multitasking, but if you wanted to do intensive graphics or even more multitasking then this system might not be enough for you.

Thanks for bringing this up Swarbs, Ill get the team to look into why its showing up on the pre-built check out page as you are correct in saying we test this before you order it and we make no amendments to it once you pay for it.
