Your spec looks fine to me. It obviously depends what games you play and how good you want them to perform though.

Head over to here http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-660M.71859.0.html and check to see if the benchmarks look like they're something you can live with. These are only rough guides as the systems used to get these bench's are probably going to differ from yours. You can see the systems used by clicking on the 'fps' values in the game benchmarks section at the bottom of the page.

I would always advise you take out the Silver Warranty as well, for £5 its a bargain, and if you can stretch to another £12/19, get the Dead Pixel Gaurantee. I needed it.

You won't go far wrong with PCS though, I'm chuffed with my Vortex III :)

Thanks for the Reply. Looking to Play Skyrim and Battlefield and also the new Rome Total war game. So hopefully this should suffice? Would like them to run reasonably well. :)

Yeah just having a quick glance it looks like you'll be able to Skyrim and Battlefield 3 at High settings anywhere between 30-50fps which is decent. 60fps is the the golden number we all strive for! But it will be perfectly playable at 30fps (which is what consoles run at I believe).

Also had another quick mess around. This one is slightly more money. Would it be better?

The gfx card is now considerably better, possibly by 30%, and whilst you have gone for a lesser I7, it wouldn't make a great deal of difference. So I would say this is a better spec. It's always about how much cash you can throw at it, is this your top budget? With this spec though I would look at changing the HDD to a Scorpio black so you keep good load times which the momentus in your previous spec would have provided. The best way to go is get a SSD big enough for windows and critical program's and perhaps even a couple of games, say 180GB, then a standard HDD for everything else. Obviously this is more cash, so it's just about how much you can afford really.

If you bought a standard HDD and wanted to change it to a better/bigger standard HDD I think that can be done. I honestly don't know if you can change a standard HDD to a SSD + standard HDD configuration. Hopefully someone else will know.

If quick load times aren't that much of a big deal to you then stick to the best 7200rpm HDD you can afford.

Yea that's pretty much my top budget. Would I be able to change the HD in the future?
You will be able to upgrade to a better hard drive or SSD in future. The SkyFire 17.3" has two hard drive bays,so you could install another HDD for storage and keep the original as the OS drive.
Alternatively you could add an SSD or a better HDD,install the OS on it and use the original hard drive for storage.
