Hi i was wondering if you guys could help me out on a desktop with this budget in mind as i have not got a clue if i should to intel or amd :S
I would like a 19" screen and maybe some wireless plugs i think they are called? with this build

I mainly want to use it for WoW and sit on around 50 - 60 fps in raids if possible with this budget.

Any feedback is more appreciated!

Hi there - this rig should run GW2 at a very respectable rate as well as most other games at high settings. If you were considering ordering any extra upgrades you could get should go towards improving your GPU (the most important component for gaming machines) or perhaps grabbing an intel i5 3470 as your cpu. I havent invluded any additional cooling as thstandard amd cpu cooling should suffice.

Narcotics has gone for a more powerful processor (MMOs do use a little more processing power than other genres) and a much better screen at the expense of less hard drive space, less ram, and i dont think theres any homeplugs in his spec. Its worth taking at least 8gb of ram as its really cheap right now however both specs will handle your game - if you had teh cash i'd certainly take the screen he chose over the one i did.

No offence but I would pay £33 more to game at 1080p plus 4gb ram will be more than sufficient. Unless you think you need 500gb more HDD.

None taken - if you look at my second post i made it pretty clear that the IIyama is a MUCH better screen, just included the screen in my spec as i had to stop at 700 quid - OP if you can stretch above that then I'd encourage you to go for an hd screen

I don't think you necessarily need the Iiyama monitor, but I would steer clear of the 18.5" monitor - its limited to 1368x768 resolution. I'd strongly recommend at least going for the 21.5" AOC monitor which costs £20 more but does 1920x1080 resolution (same as an HD TV).

I'd probably go for this (kind of a halfway house between the other two specs):

Got to agree, a higher resolution screen makes one heck of a difference for MMORPGS, trust me, I've been playing MMORPGS for years and years, and when I upgraded from my 19" monitor to a 22" widescreen (I've since upgraded to 24" as well) it made an absolutely huge difference, can't believe how I managed on that tiny little screen anymore :)

I noticed you guys had:

Just wondering if i need two of these or just one?
You need two.
Homeplugs are basically a wired ethernet connection through your domestic wiring, plug one homeplug in to a wall socket next to your router then connect an ethernet cable from the homeplug to your router, plug the other homeplug to a wall socket next to your PC & connect an ethernet cable from that to your PC.
