Gaming PC spec check/advice!

Hello!

My last two PCs have been from PCS and I got help on these forums for both, so here I am... back for a third time!

I don't have a clue about specs, though. I only know how to turn it on and off again, so I would really appreciate any help and advice given. My budget is around £1500 but could stretch a bit further.

This is what I am looking at currently. Is this any good, do I need to change anything? It will be for gaming and general internet use - https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/intel-z690-pc/!gbYZ7VUds/

I have 2 monitors, BENQ EX2710T and an old LG 22EN33 which will be replaced in the near future

Also, I am not really a fan of the glass panel side, which case would you recommend?

Thank you in advance!
Kind regards
Fay

Couple questions first mate, what game are you playing that require 32GB of RAM because that's pushing your budget up for a very niche thing? Very few very specific games even get close to 16GB?

Also you might be served better to save a few more £ and looking to going to 1440p. Those monitors are fine but they are 1080p which is a standard from before 2010, come into the modern era mate a look for a 1440p 144Hz experience. I stepped up last year and the difference is incredible

Also the only case that PCS offer than has a solid side panel that I think is worth buying is the Fractal Define 7 but it's quite expensive unfortunately.

Would you be looking to sell on your current PC? What are you thinking with the Windows license? If you copied over your license this would save you ITRO £100 towards other bits.

For a 1440p system this is what I would be looking to save, if you can copy across your windows license.

The GPU I've selected is an ASUS one. It's ITRO £50 more than the standard one but the stock one is on pre-order. If it became available during the queueing process I would swap it over so save the dough.

Alternatively I'd just take the spec by @Scott, drop the GPU and pay just £1,042. Source a Palit 3060 Ti for £530 from a well know 3rd party store (it's currently in stock) and you're done for sub £1,575.

Hey! Thanks for the response. I should drop that to 16gb then! I did not configure it so I have no clue but thanks for letting me know about that

What monitors would you recommend for 1440p? The LG monitor is very old, had it a long time, and the BENQ was a gift. I use the LG for discord and web stuff and game on the bigger/better one. I do need to think about getting a bigger desk if I upgrade my monitors!

Thank you for the case recommendation. I'll have to think more on the glass side panel, I'm not really in to RGB/Showing the insides of the PC off etc, and I have heard about glass shattering etc so was a bit unsure about it. I suppose I've only ever really had your bog standard black box case so I don't really have anything else to go off

Hello! Thank you for your response! I have no idea how to copy over my windows license, do I need anything specific/is it quite technical? I really begrudge paying 100 for windows, but I am so scared of messing something up and my PC breaking etc that I have just bought another licence in the past

Would this also be good for my current 1080p? Or could the price be dropped in any way for that?

You can always just turn the RGB lights off mate and I've never had a glass panel shatter ever. Just use basic common sense and be careful with the glass and don't put it on tile. Tile will shatter glass pretty much always just by their chemical makeup
