Gaming Rig HELP D:

Hey guys, I've been trying to build a gaming rig that was good enough to run BF4 & COD Ghosts within my budget which is £750. I find it hard to fit into that budget especially because I want an i7 3770 in the gaming rig so I would really appreciate if someone could build a rig that can do that, If not thanks for reading and giving it a go.

Thanks :D

Hi,
Why do you need an i7? Most games, including the games you mentioned , won't benefit from an i7. Also it involves making a compromise in other components like the gpu. For your budget I would suggest an amd CPU.

OMG ! Thank you so much :D I thought that It wasn't possible to make a PC to run bf4 for £750. Just one question is the psu enough ? I don't know I may be wrong but doesn't it need to be higher. Anyways Thanks a bunch :D

For the spec I posted is fine.

A 550W will be fine as Keynes said.
According to the configurator "your computer could require up to 504W of power including a 20% allowance."
No harm in upgrading this to 650W if you wish, but probably not necessary unless planning on making quite a few additions/upgrades in future.

Thanks I'll keep the 550W psu but I read some reviews on the AMD FX-6350 Six Core processor and apparently it is slower than the i7 and uses a lot more power but all I want to know is that will I feel the difference between this and the i7 ?

Thanks Again :D

The difference is on the PSU for the Battlefield, between the FX-6350 and the i7 with the same gpu you will get similar performance in Battlefield 3. For your budget that is the best spec I can suggest, going for an i7 means downgrading the gpu and other components.

Thanks so do you know what kind of settings will I be able to run on BF3 & BF4 ? Also i saw that the recommended psw for the gtx 760 is 650w does that make a difference or shall i stay with the 550w Thanks

For BF3 ultra settings, no idea on BF4 since it has not been released yet. The minimum recommended PSU from the NVidia website is 500w, the configurator should also give you a warning if the PSU is not adequate.

OK thanks, one more question about the motherboard, it is a 970 chipset and apparently it will bottleneck your cpu ? Is that true ? Thanks

I was watching a review on you tube and the top comment was about the motherboard and how it will bottleneck your CPU but I don't know if it will or not :/ But many people were saying that it wont so yeah. Do you know if it will or not cause i don't wanna spend £750 without being sure. :/

Thanks

The motherboard is not going to bottleneck your gpu.

Thanks a lot cant wait to get my hands on this PC, in a later stage like maybe next year i would like to up my GPU and my CPU and ram. Does this mean that I will need to get a new motherboard, better PSU and better cooling. But for now is the cooling and all that good ?

Thanks

The motherboard will be fine for RAM and a better CPU but for a stronger gpu you may want to consider a 650w as it has been advised before. It is a hassle to replace a psu and not cost effective, you may as well upgrade now.
