Good build or not? Any opinions appreciated?

I have a budget of upto about £1300, im going to use the build for gaming and possibly get into overclocking(nothing major) Im not sure on the importance of having an SSD so i have left it out and have come up with this so far which from what i have researched seems to be a good build? Does anyone know if i will have enough room for the cool with this GPU and would i be able to sli with a second 570 in the future(Spacewise) Also is any of this overkill perhaps i could save in some places and improve in others, please tell me what you think?

The motherboard you have selected there is able to take 3 GTX 570's in sli so no prblems there, if you are planning on overclocking have a read of this http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?3284-Warranty-When-Overclocking! as any damaged caused as a result of a failed overclock will not be covered under your warranty and also for overclocking you should really have watercooling and a better thermal paste so if you still want an overclock i would suggest you get it done by PCS.

On your above spec you have 12GB ram and really at the moment 4GB is more than enough for gaming (i only use about 2GB running the system and a game) but if you want to cover yourself for the future then go for 6-8GB also you might want to go for the sandybride spec as they are the latest for Intel and the i7 2600 will be better than the i7 960.

i recomend going for a Sandy Bridge model rather than the i7 960, you could save some money towards an i7 2600 setup if you lower your PSU to a 650W and you axe your blu ray player.
otherwise the only porblem with this build is the hardrive, do you really wanna risk putting all your storage and OS on one drive? If you can afford it i'd recomend getting a smaller primary drive just for your OS / important stuff, and get another drive for storage (games, media files etc). Also remember the faster your primary drive the faster your applications will load up =D (because they run on the program files drives R/W speeds).

+ rep if you like =)

Do PCS offer the i7 2600? There is only the 960, 970 or 990X as far as i can find? And i see what you say with the overclocking, i most likely wont bother touching it to be honest, not untill i am looking to upgrade again atleast. And so maybe the 80GB SSD as a primary drive and the 1TB WD secondary? I dont suppose i really need the Blu ray.

Thanks again

The spec above is pretty good but it's missing the forum favourite silver warranty for £5 which extends the collect and return to a full year.

If you want to get the 2600 i have a spec below to look at, i have put 2 HDD's in but if you want an SSD it will take you over £1300 and tbh i think an 80GB SSD is a waste for a gaming machine it's small so you will only get maybe 2-3 games on there and they have a limited read/write lifespan so i would stick with a mechanical HDD but it's your money so you need to decide for yourself, also i have changed your 2 optical drives to 1 and that drive will read/write dvd and read bluray best of both worlds as bluray discs are too expensive and not worth writing to.
