GTX 460 & Down of War II or Chaos Rising

Just wanted to drop a quick message to other GTX 460 users ( the 450 seems affected as well).

If you're using a GTX 460, you will experience random hard crashes in Down of War II with no warning at completely random intervals. On top of this you will experience the odd 'soft' crash - where the game freezes for a while and then comes back.

This is a specific issue related to these video cards. Relic and Nvidia are aware of it and are supposedly working on a fix. Let's just say they are taking their time...

I noticed this when trying to co-op with my gf throughout my birthday - great fun but the crashes really ruined it for us. It's really annoying when you play with everything on ultra at 166+ fps but things crash constantly. The game is great fun and incredibly pretty...

So if you have a GTX 460 you'll need some patience. On the positive side; it's not something on your computer. The fault lies entirely with Nvidia and Relic.
Hope the patch comes soon, they've been aware for quite a long time now...

Yeah I have 460's SLI'd and I was abit worried when it crashed before I even got to move any troops! Its been okay ever since though (Although it doesn't like being minimized during loading )
