Well personally I think the 700 series is a load of non-sense - well done Nvidia on bringing out a pile of rubbish.
Looking from benchmarks and stress tests, the stock GTX 780 is about 10% more powerful than the GTX 680, a feeble amount in my opinion, especially down to its crazy pricing.
The Radeon 7970, is 30% more powerful than the Radeon 6970, which in my opinion is a very decent upgrade, and I'm looking forward to the 8000 series from AMD.
That's just my 10 pence on Nvidia's new release, just my opinionheh heh
(You can probably tell I don't like Nvidia much)
Don't you think it is also due to the lack of new releases from AMD? Lack of competition is probably the reason why nvidia is not releasing a new architecture.
Well, you're probably right there. However I don't think that means Nvidia need to get lazy with their new content. I was expecting a "blow my mind" improvement, however these are minor. The 770 has been confirmed to use the same card as the 680, and doesn't suppress its performance by much.
I don't know, I'm just disappointed. That's all.
Well, I know I'm going to get me a GTX770 - but then I've still got a GTX460 so it should be a humungous improvement for meI think if you have a 500 series card, then it is certainly worth upgrading to a 770, simply because of the less power/heat/noise output and better performance. But I dont think its worth going from a 600 series card to a 770 or 780.

Can't wait to try the GTX 780
I just wish we had the 8970m test readings out by now, so I could decide and buy a laptop already.
