The new "Vortex Elite V" will be landing in early November. :)

You will be able to choose the following:

2 x 6GB GTX-970M SLI
1 x 8GB GTX-980 DESKTOP
2 x 8GB GTX-980M SLI

GTX 980 desktop is 35% faster than GTX 980M but 5% slower than an actual GTX 980 desktop GPU.

So if GTX 980M was 100 then GTX 980 is 135 and SLI GTX 980M is around 190 - 200.

Will they be G SYNC?

Will these options only be available in a 17" chassis? A 15" with one of these would make a nice portable beast!

They will only be available in 17.3" and will be MXM modules - so not soldered down. However, it is very unlikely that you will be able to upgrade the MXM cards to a future generation because the chassis BIOS will not accept this.

They will be G-SYNC.

Hello PCS and fellows

I was wondering what happens with the P775DM?
Are you going to sell it, along with the P870Dm aka The Beast ^^?
Im very interested in this model with a slighty downgraded 980 inside (180w version isn't it?)

Both models use a 330W Adapter as far as I am aware. A GTX 980M needs a lot of power, (230W - 330W minimum AC adapter when in a full system) so I doubt that you would get much power from a 180W adapter.

We have not decided on P775 yet. Why would you prefer this over the 17.3" Octane or 17.3" Vortex Elite?

Thank you for replying so quickly, PCS :)

Sorry if i didnt express myself correctly (im not native :p), i wanted to mean that the p775dm has the 980 for notebooks with 180 watts of consumptiom (the card per se) , instead of the "Full 200 watt 980" of the P870dm (that is a little bit more powerful)

I would choose the P775DM over the Octane and Vortex Elite because it has a 980 in a lighter chasis ( and i find prettier too :) )
In fact i was going to purchase one Octane 17" a few days ago, and i have decided to wait for the P775dm ( i can pay a little bit more for it, if it worth)

I don't think the P775DM will be available for several months (maybe the end of November) and, correct me if I am wrong here - but as far as I am aware the chassis looks almost identical to the 17.3" Octane II?
