H115i Elite Capellix problem

Hi all, before I describe what’s wrong, there’s a post with a similar problem here, New PC | Ryzen 5900. To save the hassle of answering twice, I had considered adding this to that post but decided against it as my problem is slightly different (it only happens at switch on/wake). No doubt a mod will move it if required.

The problem - After I log on, there is a USB disconnect sound and all AOI RGB (fans and pump) switch off and on. After wakening from sleep there is a disconnect sound but the RGB stays on; however, the fans stop after a few seconds and restart after a couple of seconds. I’ve had the PC for about a month and, to be honest, didn’t think it was a problem until I saw the other post; I had assumed it was one of the attached USB devices, I hadn’t noticed the RGB switching off and on as the PC is under a desk.

I’ve carried out all the suggestions in the other post:

- Checked all USB connections and power to Commander Core, all okay. iCUE and the pump firmware are both up-to-date.

- Checked the BIOS version - 4010, 21/07/2021

- Swapped the pump USB to the other header. On switch-on there was no disconnect sound but RGB off and on. Restarted, disconnect sound again and RGB off/on. Swapped back to the original header, again on switch-on no disconnect but RGB off/on; on restart, both disconnect sound and RGB off/on returned.

- Checked the pump-head screws, they were a bit loose so removed and refitted the pump head, making sure that the screws were tight. Disconnect sound and RGB off/on still happens.

Even tried it with both side panels removed as this seemed to help the other poster for a while – no difference. To rule out external USB devices, I’ve tried with only the mouse/keyboard wireless dongle connected, disconnect sound and RGB off/on.

Windows is up-to-date and temperatures seem okay (note that the AOI is installed at the front).

Thanks in advance.
Hey man, iCUE does the same thing to me. When turning on the PC and putting my password to access the PC, I get a "disconnected" sound and the RGB lighting goes off and back on right after. I found out it's cause of Armoury Crate. I diagnosed this doing a clean install of Windows, installing after that only iCUE and the problem disappeared. It got back when I installed Armoury Crate again. Nothing to worry about.

Cheers @AleTax , glad to hear it's nothing to worry about. I doubt I'll go as far as a reinstall, I'm sure I can put up with the wee tune every now and then.
Thanks again
