Hardware monitoring software

After reading esteemed member pengipete's reply to a post http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?5228-Reported-fan-speeds-vs.-reality I was wondering what hardware monitoring software you guys would recommend.

I am currently using HWMonitor and if it's not accurate I'd like to try something else. I'm particularly interested in monitoring:
1) CPU temp
2) Graphics card temp
3) Fan speeds
4) any other things that you guys think it's important to keep an eye on.

PS I already have a ruler to measure the depth of dust on mobo

I use Core temp for cpu.
gpu z for graphics card temp & fan speed.
& fraps for frames per second.

Thanks vanthus, I've heard them mentioned on here a few times. I'll give them a go and see what how my readings compare.

I use Speedfan, monitors all of the above, plus it provides the info for my desktop UI in Rainmeter to display.
Haven't tried any others though, so can't claim it's the best. Just seems to do the job, not very pleasing to the eye in itself either.
