Hello, haven't bought new pc in years (more than 10) - does this, look like a good high end purchase? Have I missed anything obvious, or done something foolish?
My current PC is so old I don't even have SSD drives - is 2 tb enough for OS and games? Should I get a second drive? Ssome research suggests no one double graphics cards anymore? Is that right?
Any advice welcome.
Edit: Erm, not sure what I missed - er. This is a gaming PC, the budget is around 3k. Which is about what this costs.

We'd recommend keeping the OS and apps on a separate single drive to your game instals, as it keeps them safe if/when you inevitably need to 'fix' a Windows install.

Is there a specific reason for choosing the expensive Asus ProArt motherboard, as it offers very little for a gaming user - and is positioned as a creative media professional level? You could save £200 by simply going for the top-tier Asus gaming motherboard (ROG Strix) - which also follows the white aesthetic of the case with it's white/grey board...and if you do want more of the white aesthetic, there's the Luna configurator which lets you choose white versions of fans/coolers/RAM/GPUs...so let us know if that's something you'd like and we can recreate it.

If you're only going to be playing at 1440p, then the 4080 Super is probably overkill, and you could drop down to the 4070Ti Super (£200 saving) or 7900GRE (£400 saving). If you're happy to stay with the 4K GPU, then I'd suggest looking at a decent 32" 4K monitor as well - or an ultrawide 1440p.

In both instances they using the top-tier Asus gaming motherboard, but in the black component build there's the option to trim the budget a little by going down to the TUF X670-E or the TUF B650-Plus motherboards.

If it's a gaming PC I would definitely get a gaming monitor. A 4ms response monitor doesn't sound close to ideal.
