Help and advice required?

Hello, I am completely new to building or using a p c. I have been playing consoles for the past 10 years and feel that it's now time to make that small step but Giant price leap into the wonderland of pc's.
I have been looking at other threads on this forum and taken as much advice and ideas as possible from these threads. I was initially thinking of using intel 9 10th gen but now changed that to amd due to these threads. Im not sure what else i require but I want the best that I can afford and want to use the geforce rtx2080 ti.
This system will be used for simulation and AAA gaming and possibly vr in the near future. I don't have a monitor as yet, will need advice on that. In the meantime I am hoping that I could connect to my tv, please advise me on this, my tv is a Samsung ks8000. If it is possible then what lead would I need to connect it? Im looking to use my existing xbox controller to play with, can I do this or do I need something extra to do this?
My budget was £2500 but I have gone slightly over, I don't mind as that case is the dogs doodahs!
I look forward to your help and assistance with my dream pc.

I am unsure of which motherboard to choose, please advise on this. Also hard drives, storage, will these be ok?

Looks fantastic. For the motherboard I think such a build should have the X570 Strix. Otherwise I would go with the X570-Plus gaming.

Storage is fine. I would maybe go with a 1TB M2 drive over a conventional drive, but other than that... all good

Thanks for the reply scott. Could you let me know if I would be able to put this through a Samsung 4k ks8000 tv or would I need to buy a monitor?

It should work just fine. I think that TV has a 120hz refresh so would be quite ideal. It is unlikely to have the response time of a good gaming monitor, but other than that should work out pretty well.

That is excellent news. How would that connect? Hdmi? Is high speed hdmi 1.4 ?
I have updated my motherboard spec and hard drives as you suggested, let me know what you think please, I am dying to order it!

250GB may be low-balling the primary drive. You can see the speed increase of the Firecuda that you have selected but if it's just for games then I think the standard 1TB PCS option would be enough. I would want 500GB for my primary drive personally.

You would need to check the TV. I fear that it would need to have DP to manage 100hz from the GPU to be honest. If it can manage it via HDMI my guess is it must be 2.0/1.

Ok, I have selected the drives as you recommend, please could you give it a final check over just to make sure that I understood you correctly. It does make it cheaper which is a bonus.
The cable, do they do a display port to hdmi? I think that it will be hdmi 2.1 as you said.
A few other things if you don't mind. Will I have to create partitions on this hard drive or am I on the wrong track?
The xbox controller, would I need some sort of dongle to use it ?

I do have a couple of external usb3.0 expansion drives also, could probably format one of those if needed. Would it be advisable to change the samsung 500gb to a 1tb pcs? Or leave as is?

It's fine as is. Especially if you have other options for main storage. The only thing I would probably do in your shoes, and this is personal, I wouldn't buy the 1TB PCS drive..... I would buy an SX8200 Pro off of Amazon and fit it when the PC arrived for games. It's a few quid more but the performance difference warrants it. It's Evo performance for almost PCS price.

You won't notice that much difference though so this would be a purely enthusiast preference.

That's a good shout scott. I've had a look at amazon, for some reason it says usually dispatched within 1 or 2 months! Is that normal? If that's the case then I might leave it as is plus I wouldn't feel comfortable attaching or detatching things! Not at first anyhow!😉

It's a fairly straight forward thing to do to be honest. If you don't fancy it though the PCS drive will be a fine shout

Sorry, I had wrote that it was in the configurator. It wasn't, it was an error so I edited my post to show the new config with the storage drive attached.

It's the same build as before just with an additional storage drive in it so if you click on the link then click proceed, give it a good once over and if you're happy.... go for it

Ah, ok now i understand. I want to thank you for all the time you have spent answering my questions. If it wasn't for your advice on this and other threads then I would still be pulling my hair out and none the wiser and no where near ready to order my pc.
