Help building a gaming pc?

Hi, I've been wanting to buy some sort of beasty computer for about 4 months now, but I'm still a noob when it comes to building

so I have £1,600 to spend and ill be wanting to game, video edit and do some schoolwork, (to please my dad) I'm also thinking about possibly two or three monitors, (acknowledging this will be a push for cash, also wanting it not to lag) I've heard great things about PCS and will definitely be buying from them, so some help would be much appreciated. Yeh it does, I understand that it's apush but will be looking to play games from Minecraft to battlefield

I could just get two monitors and then save again for the third, if the price is a problem

If you want to play in surround (3 monitors) and want to get high fps I'd recommend GTX 670 SLI and if money is an issue probably get the additional 2 monitors later on. If you still wish to get at least 2 monitors then you may need to downgrade the GPU and/or processor.

It depends on what settings and frames per second you are expecting. I have attached a benchmark table for Battlefield 3 with 3 monitors.

If you are planning to game in 3 monitors and keep fps at more than 30 then I'd go with the GTX 670 SLI however Vanthus's spec allows you to buy 3 monitors.

Higher frames per second at higher resolutions.

30-40 FPS average yet very playable

40-60 FPS good gameplay

>60 FPS best possible gameplay

For Battlefield 3 at high settings the GTX 670 SLI would give you around 50 fps and the HD 7970 around 30 fps

I suggested a build that would include everything you mentioned within your budget,
including 3 monitors,also a strong CPU & 16GB of ram for the video editing you mentioned,
but if gaming on 3 monitors on high settings is more important to you then best go with rubens spec.
