Help wihu a pc build please :)

Hello, I've been trying to configure a new pc with a budget of £1800(I can stretch it abit more if it's worth it). I'm after a pc for good gaming performance and will last for a little while but at the same time due to past experience I want a secure build. On many occations I have had to pay for repairs due to PSU failing along with my hardrive(waiting a month for a local pc store to check my pc is very frustrating lol). I'd prefe to go with intel aswell. I have been attempting to configure a pc and came with with so many builds I really dunno which the best components are for my budget are. I use my pc for work aswell as playing games.
Any configurations you could come up with would be apprectiated.

Hi,
Is that budget including a monitor and peripherals? I'd go with an i5 + GTX 670, you can have the option to SLI with the spec below. If you are planning to run more cpu intensive applications then you may want to consider an i7.

I also have a copy of windows 7 already so dunno if windows 8 is needed seems abit early to upgrade to 8 series?

Don't need anything else except for the tower. I also use programs such as lightwave, photoshop etc

Not sure if you need any extras like monitor mouse keyboard etc but this will be a very good build with plenty of room for expansion but you could improve a couple of things if you really think you need to.

I'd stick with windows 7, if it is mainly for gaming I'd go with the i5-3570 with the GTX 670. For peace of mind you could also upgrade the warranty from silver to gold to cover parts for more than 1 year. Edit: or go with Fear's spec
