Hi all, got my new pc today, just started to connect it all, but the new pc doesn't seem to have the monitor connection? I believe it's called a VGA? Is there some kind of adaptor id need to buy?

Hi Arrmar,

Most are connected to monitors via DVI connectors nowadays, is it an older monitor or TV you are trying to hook up?

This is DVI

This is VGA (old school)

And this is a connector we can provide if needed that takes DVI to VGA

Hi Gorman, it looks like i have the old school VGA Cable. So I guess id need a DVI to VGA. I'll go have a look in currys or comet, hopefully they will have one. Thanks.

Nope none in welcome pack, double checked. My monitor isn't that old, it has both VGA and DVI connections, I guess i never got the cable with the monitor for DVI.

The price for the adapter on amazon is really good, just the fact i don't want to wait any longer to get pc up and running.

If your monitor suports, DVI, call us and order a DVI cable (£5) and we'll pop one in the post asap. :)
