My friends budget is £950 and the main usage will be kinda extreme gaming and general use. If you can suggest any improvements to this setup i would be thankful.

I'd either change the hard drive to a 1TB Caviar Black or add one as a secondary hard drive. If he is using it for extreme gaming, he'll fill up a 120GB drive pretty fast.

Also, I'd go for an Intel CPU, but that's just me as I prefer them.

Intel would make it go over the budget so he wont be able to afford a good graphics card. And also isnt 120gb ample?...because he only went with it because its a ssd. He wont be able to afford a 1tb hardisk.

Thanks for the help though :D

The 1TB Caviar Black is cheaper than that SSD I think.

Windows takes up 20GB and games take up around 10GB. I've filled 80GB on my laptop and I've hardly got anything on it.

EDIT: Yup it's £61 cheaper.

It doesn't include an SSD but the caviar black will be very fast and has lots of space!

This has sacrificed a TB but that shouldn't matter. This spec means that another gpu can be added later when one on its own becomes too slow. This will mean that high gaming levels are given for longer!

I went with ssd because it would be much faster and he himself said he wants it. Also the intel cpu is slower as well. And finally i dont think he is every thinking of crossfire. The hardisk isnt a problem as he says 120gb is completely fine for him as he already has something like that on his current computer. He deletes old games as well so. Anyway yet again thanks for all the advice.

I am sorry but I disagree with that cpu being faster, I am worried now that I could be horribly wrong but the i5 should destroy the bulldozer quad core, probably the six core as well. Crossfire is optional but I would strongly recommend it, fair enough if he doesn't want it, it is just a way of extending the pc's life for good performance.
