How to access Cosmos II BIOS

Just received my Cosmos II (beautiful looking machine, btw!) I'm wanting to install my own copy of Windows 8.1 from a bootable USB flash drive, but I can't seem to access the BIOS to tell the computer to boot from the USB port. I tried DEL, F2, and F8 on the startup screen, but nothing worked. Anyone know how I'd go about doing this?

(At present it's booting - extremely quickly - to desktop, with the trial version of Windows 8.1 installed by PCS during the testing phase).

When booting the laptop look for the key next to settings or setup or something similar, when you see this start tapping the key.

Thanks - it boots so fast that no such screen appears (goes straight to a PCS loading screen, then to Windows startup a few seconds later). However, I found by trial and error that tapping F2 gets to BIOS. However, now I can't find a USB device as an option in the boot order menu...

If there's no option to boot to USB then your only other option might be an external DVD drive (I'm assuming you don't have a DVD drive in the laptop).
Probably best give PCS a call to clarify if booting to USB is an option or not.

Never mind - I changed the boot order to prioritize 'UEFI 1.0', and that seems to have done the trick. Will change the order back once the OS is installed.

Just to add: at the risk of jinxing it, the fresh installation of Windows 8.1 from the USB drive seems to have worked fine, as have the drivers from the PCS website. Thanks for your help, vanthus :)

Similarly for me

I had the same problem when booting from off. When I restarted windows and pressed F2 it worked everytime. Also the USB option only appeared when I inserted a usb boot device prior to restarting. Then I went to boot tab and highlight first boot device and changed to USB. I have an optimus V but guess the boot screens are similar !
