As much as we'd like to, we can't please everyone, but we can only improve if you tell us where we're going wrong.

If you've been browsing through our forums and considering PC Specialist as a possible purchase, but then for whatever reason decided not to buy from us, please let us know by voting above.

I was extremely close to ordering from you again, I've ordered one desktop, and one laptop from you already have been very pleased with the outcome.

This time around, I spent quite a few weeks trying to decide on what spec to get, what's my budget? do I want a gaming laptop? do I want to simply upgrade what I have? Do i want a new gaming PC? etc

I went with upgrading what I already have. I already own a decent PSU, cooling, HDD, DVD drive, network card and a case. So I really couldn't justify spending the extra £300ish on components I wouldn't be using. I've decided to buy just what I need individually and put it together myself.

If you offered a component shop then I'd certainly consider buying individual parts from you as well as whole systems.

Don't know if me posting and voting here is appropriate, as it currently looks most likely that I will indeed buy my new computer from you.

However, I voted for:
Didn't like the case choices -and-
Didn't have my choice of components
... as these are the two factors that are making me even consider alternative shops. As far as price goes, pcspecialist seems to be one of the cheaper shops while still allowing me to put my own desktop package together, and reviews seemed neither worse nor better than the main alternatives I've been looking at.

Specifically, I find the range of high-end cases on offer rather thin. As well as my preferred choice, Cooler Master HAF-X, other cases I considered were Silverstone Fortress 2 FT02B, and Cooler Master ATCS 840, none of which are options here.

As for other components, it makes me vaguely nervous that the specific make of the graphics cards aren't specified - some manufacturers use their own cooling solutions, which are much noisier (... or quieter, but that isn't a problem) than the reference cards. Same goes for optical drives - I would much rather have a Sony drive than a Samsung one, but here, I would not know what I would be getting. I wish more power-efficient power-supplies were offered, e.g. Enermax, Seasonic, or Corsair's HX (or upcoming AX) (Yes, I know that the 1000W HX is on the site... but what about the smaller ones? The 850W HX had better efficiency ratings than the 1000W) as well as the cheaper TX models. My personal choice would be Corsair's HX-750 or HX-850. I would also have liked more options for cooling - I've read several reviews claiming the Corsair H50 performs about as well as the Coolit closed loops, but with less noise. There are also lots of competitive air coolers - e.g. Prolimatech Megahalem, or my preferred choice, Noctua NH-D14.

The reasons I will most likely still buy my computer from you, despite the fact that shopping elsewhere would allow me to customize it more to my liking, are these:
* You do offer me the ability to customize my own package - yes, I wish for even more options, but mostly, your site allows me to put together something fairly close to what I want.
* You offer a 3-year collect and return warranty. As somebody who runs his computer on considerable load, pretty much 24/7, and who is relying a lot upon it, this is very important to me.
* You have cheap prices.
* The latest component are available quickly on your site. E.g. the i7-970, which quite a few of the shops I've looked at don't offer yet.
* You offer financing options.

-enhorning, still expecting to become one of your customers within the next few weeks.

Everything seems to be awesome. Price, Support, ease of use, friendly people. One flaw I see is the time it takes to get your PC. But that's understandable.

Pretty much exactly the same as me bud, particularly regarding the makes of GC.

Still ordered from here too though ;)
