Ok I’m pretty much settled on everything except the GPU. I was going for the RX7800 XT but then I saw that the RX7900 GRE is set to be released in May but I have seen lots of recommendations for a RTX4070ti super. Does one really stand out above the others?

They're all relative

7800XT - £578 (All the frames you'll need)
7900 GRE - £678 (+£100, more frames)
4070Ti Super - £886 (+£308 more frames again)

They cannot be compared, everything is budget related. You gave a budget so I helped find the best build within that budget. If your budget has increased then it's a completely different question.

I personally think the 7900 GRE is the best value for money, if it wasn't out of stock I would have probably recommended you go down that road. It depends how quickly you want the system though, if you can wait until may then that's fine.... but be aware that prices can fluctuate a lot.

Thanks again. Yeah I may be able to stretch the budget a little more so I thought I'd spend it on the GPU. Happy with everything else and been reading lots of positives regarding the 78003DX. Just got to sneak it past the wife now :sneaky:

Is the ASUS TUF GAMING RX 7900 XT OC worth the extra £54 over the AMD RX 7900 XT?
If your budget has changed, you need to let us know the new budget as it may change the build entirely.

Everything is balanced to a budget. This is why we ask for the max at the outset as that doesn’t change. That’s the maximum you have available for the purchase.

Below is where I would land with £2.2.

Thanks for your help so far everyone. Happy with my options now so hopefully going to purchase in the next couple of weeks. I was just looking at the monitors that were recommended earlier and I like AOC ultra wide but I was wondering how much more demanding would it be over a standard 27” 1440p?

More demanding, but more reward and better visuals. You opted for the higher end GPU so the higher end monitor goes hand in hand.

I would be sure to pop back at the time of purchase though, things can change so fast.
