my gtx 880m seems to be underperforming on games like wow with 30 fps on good settings... it also crashes alot on games like h1z1, it freezes and displays a box in bottom corner saying my gfx card has stopped reponding or something and has recovered from the error, crashes my screen and then fixes itself...verry annoying, im not expecting utlra 150 fps on games with a laptop but surely much better than this, my spec is

Good morning :)

The GTX880M was the best single mobile GPU on the market until 980M was released, and is still very powerful. You also have a very good mobile CPU, so you should be able to do a lot better than 30FPS. For your reference, here is what you can usually expect in the different games on the 880M: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-880M.107622.0.html -> Scroll down further to see benchmarks on different games/applications

Regarding the issue at hand; There can be several reasons for this issue. Most common issue would be that it's driver related. It would be impossible for us to know specifically why your system does this, with the current information, hence I would request the following information from you to troubleshoot further:
->When did this issue begin?
->Prior to the issue began, had you performed any recent changes to the hardware/OS? (Driver updates, new software installed etc.)
->Have you tried anything yourself to remedy the issue?

I would also request the following logs from your laptop so we can get a better overview of the issue:
->DxDiag. Press the Windows button + R -> Type in "dxdiag" -> Run 64bit diags -> Save all information
->System events. Press the Windows button + R -> Type in "eventvwr" -> Windows logs -> Mark "System events" -> Go to the right hand side and press "Save all events as" to export your system events.

.zip those 2 files, upload them to a dropbox or something similar like filedropper, and paste the link in here.

i always keep gfx driver up to date so ive had a few installs recently not sure which may of caused the problem but its been the last month or so, i notice it mostly when playing h1z1, the game stutters and then my gtx card crashes, happens at random and is very annoying, the wow 30 fps issue has been happening for longer, i thought i should recieve more like 70 fps+, ive had no changes made to the hardware, ive only set the gfx card to always be enabled under settings, so far no noticeable change but hard to tell until ti crashes again.

->Please check your CPU and GPU temperature with an app like speedfan or something similar, as these messages seems quite persistent in the logs. These messages usually only appear when Intel Speedstep kicks in and throttles your CPU. Make sure to check this, when the CPU and GPU is under load (So enter a game like h1z1, leave it for 15 minutes and check the temps)

->Next time you enter a game, try and close all unnecessary apps running in the background. I can recommend using Sysinternals process explorer to get a good overview of what's running the background.

Drivers that needs updating:
->Update the Intel Management interface. I believe this is the version you need to use: http://www.clevo.com/en/e-services/download/ftpout_download.asp?sno=7339&no=3 -> There's probably also a newer version available in your Driver download
list when you log into your PCSpecialist Account -> Drivers. I would recommend fetching that instead.

->Update the Intel chipset drivers: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...admirror.intel.com/20775/eng/SetupChipset.exe
->Update the Intel Graphics driver to the latest: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...dmirror.intel.com/24964/a08/win64_1563621.exe

Sidenote: No drivers seems to be installed for the onboard Audio controller, but that's probably because you are using your Logitech 930 headset only?

Otherwise, let me know if you need help with any of this.

92c is not the end of the world. The CPU will get throttled around 100c's though, so it will start to lower the speed of the CPU, to emit less heat.

good to hear, the memory problem, does this mean i should invest in another 8 gigs? is it even possible for a novice to do such an install, even wonder if my laptop could allow another 8 gig

That depends how much stuff you have running in the background. 8GB might be a tad too low nowadays, but you could always try using sofware like Razer: Gamebooster to start your games. It basically just shuts down everything unnecessary before entering your game, that should help quite a bit, if you have a memory problem. Also if you want to install additional memory, that is usually very easy on most laptops, especially CLEVO models where you basically have access to GPU+CPU+2 out of 4 DIMM slows by unscrewing the backplate. Usually only 6 screws. Just remember to buy an identical type of DIMMs as your current pair, else you will run into problems :) PCspecialist should be able to help you in that regard.

EDIT: Just found the manual for your laptop. You can find it here: http://www.clevo.com/en/e-services/download/ftp_download.asp?sno=5027&no=3 -> From page 6-24 you'll see it's only 6 screws that you need to unscrew to get access to 2 out of 4 DIMM slots. That should be relatively straight forward :)

The easiest way is properly to use driver genius: http://www.driver-soft.com/ you have to pay for the software to actually download the updates, but you can still download the latest driver databases and scan your PC to search for any updates, then you can simply search for the driver name driver genius has found for you, on google to find the update.
