I have the i7-2700k, the K is for overclocking but with that cooler you won't be able to OC, you need to chose a better cpu cooler (titan?). The psu would allow you to add another hd 7750 or get a stronger single GPU. Regarding upgrades, it depends on what games (and at what settings) you wish to play but for your work it should last a few years.

I'd still strongly recommend my spec because of the superior cpu and socket. It is much better for rendering and editing. Also, a better featured mobo and I have included possibilities for o/cing with the cooler. The i7 3820 overclocks a real treat.
