Laptop Build Process

Hello,

Failing to find anywhere to talk to anyone regarding my order I've come here.

My order is ready for dispatch which is good and I honestly don't want to complain about it but it has gone from Processing to Dispatch in less than 24 hours. Now normally this would be a good thing but I'm a little concerned that the testing phase, where they say they place the machine into a "hot room" where it will remain for a minimum of 24 hours, lasted for a grand total of 25 minutes which in my opinion is barely enough time for it to get warm let alone hot.

It was in processing for 6 days so i suppose the email messages and site updates could be a little on the slow side. Has anyone else experienced this kind of rapid build? Should i be worried my laptop has not been properly tested?

Kind Regards

I wouldn't worry about that, as you mentioned there may be delays with your status update online. You can contact PCS by email to get an official response for peace of mind.

I have only heard good things about PC Specialist so I wasn’t going to panic just yet. Just a tad eyebrow raising to see it go through a process that should take between 3-7 days in the space of 23 hours.

Probably no one else would raise the query but as I have spent all of my pocket money on this little treasure I’d prefer it perfect rather than fast, although as you’ve both said they are unlikely to miss anything out and it’s probably process update problem.

Thank you for your assurances.

I too experienced a very rapid transition from 'in building' to 'awaiting dispatch', but I didn't check it regularly enough to know if it was as short as 25 minutes. It would have had to have been much less than a day, though.

If it eases your mind PCSpecialist have been great so far with the issues I've had, so even if it's not perfect, they'll sort it out.
