LF Advice: I've already ordered, but can I still make changes before it's built, and should I?

I'm thinking to swap one of the Intel M.2 SSDs to a 500GB SEAGATE FIRECUDA 520 GEN 4.
Is it possible to do even though it's already in it's 3rd day of processing?
Is it even worth doing?
The total cost is cheaper than two 1tb intel SSDs when I swap one of them with a 500GB SEAGATE FIRECUDA 520 GEN 4, so technically I would lose some money unless PCSpecialist is able and happy to pay that back.

I noticed there is an option to "upgrade your existing pc specialist computer" which I can only use once it arrives. Would I have to pay the total cost of the an upgrade, or would it be reduced by the cost of the item I'm upgrading? (e.g. GPU being £500 and the upgrade GPU being £800, so a £300 upgrade fee instead of paying full £800). This is assuming PCSpecialist would take the item you're attempting to upgrade.

I'm someone that's looking to do some hardcore gaming and possibly streaming/content creation in the future.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I'd suggest that you give this a read especially the AMD v intel section, re upgrades, you pay the full price, because no PCS don't buy back used parts

I would say that you should make changes. We need to know your uses for the PC, your budget and the monitor you will be using. The thread linked by @Martinr36 should guide you. I would be expecting most areas to change to get you good value.

It's pretty straight forward to make changes, the difficulty comes from the base you have selected (Intel). I wouldn't buy an Intel PC just now, the next gen is right around the corner and benchmarks are coming out.

Purchasing a system with what's available right now would have to be AMD. To switch to an AMD build you would need to call up PCS to have them retain your queue position. It would be either that or cancel.

Unfortunately all too often people come for advice after they have already placed their order.

OK, what i would suggest you do is give them a call and get it swapped to an AMD build and with your budget & monitor this is what I'd Suggest

Just FYI, that monitor is 720p. It won't output 1080p for gaming.

Thoughts on this build before I try sending it to enquiries to hopefully get a rework?
I went with a 6600xt instead of 1660ti because I want a GPU that will run future games at high settings. I went over budget but I want the best possible build.
The monitor I will end up upgrading soon looking for cheaper options.

I appear to have dug myself a hole with the intel build.
Answer me this though, will it at the very least, run games at high settings?
I've been running a potato pc for the past 6-7 years, hardly getting 30 frames in most titles. As long as it can run games like Apex Legends, Valorant, and New World at 60 fps, I'm happy.

The Intel CPU isn’t the only problem with the build. If you insist on going that way you would still need changes. A 60Hz 720p monitor won’t play anything at high settings, no matter what graphics card you specify.

Was there something wrong with the suggestions you've already had?

Budget: £1400
Refresh Rate: 60hz

@SpyderTracks I liked the suggestions I just did not want to settle for a 1660ti. The main changes I wanted to make were the CPU, Ram and SSDs. I will be upgrading my own monitor to a something with a better resolution or a 144hz of course.

I had already placed the order for the i5 build and was recently told I could get the funds for the i5 build I ordered moved to a new quote, and the i5 build would be cancelled. So I was just making an AMD build as suggested

I made a post a few days ago regarding a build I had ordered, wanting to make changes to it and ended up cancelling my order. These are the finalised changes I made. Is this a solid build for gaming competitively and some light streaming on the side?
Budget I'd like to keep at no more than around £1700

Optimised it a little for you.

Changed the RAM to 3200Mhz, there really isn't much a difference in gaming between the 3600 and the 3200Mhz because of the their timings.

Kept the 3060Ti for consistent high frames at 1080p as you mentioned competitive play

Changed the storage to two M.2 SSD's. Much much faster

Changed your PSU to some a little better, quieter and cooler

Changed the CPU cooler, the 5600x doesn't run hot at all and the 212 Hyper is more than enough to handle it

By gaming competitively, do you mean professionally? Hardcore gaming gets used quite a lot but tends not to follow it's actual definition. Are you looking to enter prize competitions?

That aside, there are a number of changes I would make:

A second M2 rather than an SSD
RMx PSU, 1000w as the next gen of GPUs are going to be extremely power hungry. Last thing you want to do is change the PSU in the systems lifetime.
100X cooler will be a little noisy, better to spend the extra and get the PRO or the Capellix. If you don't mind the noise then the 100x is fine.
Monitor doesn't really cover what I would recommend. If you're properly gaming competitively, and you're young enough to do so, you will want a 240hz refresh. If you're not actually hardcore gaming and just looking to play competitively online for fun then a 1440p panel would be a far better choice.

Black Friday is around the corner so could get some good deals :)
