Looking for a low value gaming PC.

Hey I was just wondering whether these specs were good for gaming, not really high end gaming but maybe TES: Oblivion - that's probably the highest graphics game I play so I'm not really looking to spend a fortune on a gaming PC. Could someone please tell me if these specs are any good for the price?
Thanks in advance,
Josh :)

Well, I remember my 8400M GT GPU was no good, so I doubt it :( I remember reading that, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400 = desktop usage, 8500 8600 8700 8800 8900, gaming, higher the number, better the GPU. 9400M is high end desktop but low gaming.

^Something like this would get my vote as it has that little bit more expandability than a mini-pc

For gaming I would recommend a desktop PC with a dedicated graphics card. Whilst the spec you have posted above will be able to play games, it won't be very powerful as the processor may struggle a little.

Here's my recommendation as close to your budget as possible:

Case
STYLISH PIANO BLACK ENIGMA MICRO-ATX CASE + 2 FRONT USB
Processor (CPU)
Intel® Pentium® DualCore E5700 (3.0GHz) 800MHz FSB/2MB Cache
Motherboard
ASUS® P5G41T-M LX2 S: MICRO ATX VALUE BOARD & DDR3, SATA-II, 2 x PCI
Memory (RAM)
2GB SAMSUNG DDR3 DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz (1 x 2GB)
Graphics Card
1GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GT430 PCI EXPRESS - DirectX® 11
Memory - 1st Hard Disk
250GB SERIAL ATA 3-Gb/s HARD DRIVE WITH 8MB CACHE (7,200rpm)
1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive
24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM
Memory Card Reader
INTERNAL 52 IN 1 CARD READER (XD, MS, CF, SD, etc) + 1 x USB 2.0 PORT
Power Supply & Case Cooling
350W Dual Rail PSU + 120mm Case Fan
Processor Cooling
INTEL SOCKET LGA775 STANDARD CPU COOLER
Sound Card
ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Network Facilities
WIRELESS 802.11N 300Mbps PCI CARD (£16)
USB Options
4 x USB 2.0 PORTS @ BACK PANEL (MIN 2 FRONT PORTS) AS STANDARD
Operating System
NO OPERATING SYSTEM REQUIRED
Office Software
NO OFFICE SOFTWARE
Anti-Virus
NO ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE
Keyboard & Mouse
Logitech® Internet 350 USB Keyboard (£9)

Thanks to both of you. I tried making a normal desktop PC for gaming myself but couldn't get anywhere near my price range, both of your comments are very helpful and I will most likely get one of these specs for Christmas. :) Just one last question, would I be able to get a gaming laptop with similar specs to these for the same price, or cheaper? Or are laptops more expensive when looking for a good spec?
Thanks again,
Josh
