Maybe another gaming thread?

Hi everyone,

Finally from what i can see this site looks like it knows what its going on about. I just wanted to know if someone could help me out on choosing a "rig" for gaming ideally day Z for starters, i have up to about £1200 and do not really have time to build a custom rig (even though i would like to add some parts in the future).

So the two at the moment i am looking at (one being a Mac).

Can you help? or maybe point me in a better direction, im very impatient and want to buy it tomorrow haha.

[Edit by Rakk; competitor links aren't allowed in these forums, so the links have been removed, but I'm sure a few people can create some specs for a machine from PCS]

The components of the PCS computer I suggested are much better than on the computers you linked.
Most noticeably the GPU's on those linked are very weak compared to to the GTX 670,but your choice. :)

If that is the case you can pay for expedited production. I believe you can get three working day dispatch for 70 quid. I'd quantify the distress I endured waiting for my PC as far above that.

Yeah unfortunately PCS cannot custom build, test and deliver a machine in that amount of time, but if you get the 3-day fast-track (dependent on stock) it could be with you in 4 working days, which I know isn't tomorrow but isn't too far away.

As an option I've provided an alternate spec that comes in just a little more expensive than Vanthus' but still well under budget. For gaming this will perform better than the i5/ 670 combo (although that is powerful indeed, and is my own setup)

Ive also included 3 day delivery

*Edit* I've had to put water cooling in this system as PCS won't fit the titan cooler to the 8350, I'm not sure why as an after market air cooler should be able to cool this processor. That said, although the H40 isn't the best water cooler on the market, it will have no trouble keeping our CPU cool.

Wow you guys are great, never thought people would go to these extremes to help out somebody.

Dino PC and make the following customisations.

2013 edition H80i
Gigabyte Z77X-D3H
Plextor 128GB Primary Drive
+1TB SATA III Hard Drive
Nvidia GTX670
650W Corsair TX Modular

I have been looking at something like this or they do have some already built in store so i suppose i could drive to LDN. I can tell a "stock" rig is not really going to give me as much bang for my buck.

Haha, yeah I understand, but I think you would be making a big mistake rushing in.Buying a computer at that price is a serious business and should be thought through.
You couldn't be on a better forum for advice on that, the guys on here are a great help.

Yea i can tell already, i have asked on other forums and got nothing...

Secondly looking on the PCS website they have some great "stock" stuff which i think will really get me into the gaming side of things, whilst im not a rich man im only looking to keep something for the next two years or three at a push and then i will go for the big guns :D

You want feedback on a spec from a competitor in a forum that belongs to PCS? :whistling:
Apart from prices I would suggest checking reviews online of the retailer you are choosing.
