Hi

I had another look and configured these 2 specs, not sure which is best AMD or Intel for Minecraft/Tekkit, steam games, mmos and skyrim and future proof to handle future games, I dont want to go any more expensive than the ones below, was hoping only to spend £600 ish but there was no way that would happen. Please have a look

I'd say the second one is the better of the two for gaming and worth the extra £55 or so. The graphics card isn't going to cope with top end games at high settings though. If you aren't planning to play the top end games then that's fine. Another option is to go with something like build 1 but use the extra money on a better card.

For example this would give you a bit better gaming performance for the same money as your second build.

What do you think?

Thanks. Do you think a sound card is needed or will the on board one do? and what about CPU cooling?

Onboard sound will be fine and the Triple copper heatpipe cooler will be adequate unless planning on overclocking.
