Monitors

Just a quick question about monitors..

To have dual monitors on my Pc will i just need a splitter cable? so in my case a Dvi splitter?

And..

does the cable from monitor to pc matter on the quality of the screen. So is Hdmi better than Dvi?

It may sound silly but if so would a Dvi to hdmi converter change the quality of the monitor or is it just the cable that matters?

Sorry if it sound silly :3

thanks

You need a seperate cable from the graphics card to each monitor.
If you need to use HDMI to DVI adaptor it wont affect quality of signal.

What spec did you go for Connor, in your last thread the last spec you posted had a GTX650 graphics card in it, that will have both DVI and HDMI ports so you use the DVI for one monitor and the HDMI for the other, or did you go for integrated graphics?

soo If i used the DVI port for one monitor and then got a DVI to HDMI converter and use the HDMI slot for the second monitor, i could then have the extended monitor?

As Rakk has just said, yes if you connect you monitors up to two ports on your graphics card then it will work.
