No point getting the Kingston 1600 if you're not overclocking, you wont see the difference

kingston are known for high quality RAM though, although i doubt PCS would supply if they were sure they were decent

I was in this same dilemma about the RAM. I choose to get 4GB of 1600 RAM, and upgrade it to 6GB when I have the extra money. 6GB should be sufficient for a couple years. I hope.

my lord, thanks for all the responces, is has certainly cleared up a few issues with my general lack of knowledge on the subject, will be phoning the lovely people at pcspecialist am tommorrow, its kinda hard to know what you want or need with so many options available have tried the 5 step blithering idiot guide and it help a lot also. its easy to go balls out and get top spec gear and not really use it to the full, thankyou very much for the advice and i hope i can close the thread with ordering my first shiny gaming machine.

Just take your time with it as you said it easy to go well over the top with things as i did much of the system resources are not touched but there is nothing wrong with making sure you have more than you need.
