Also, if I open the case and add items will that invalidate the enhanced warranty I'm paying for (it will look as if a third party has done it).

PC Specialist has an open case policy which allows the owner to fit additional parts as long as they don't do any physical damage

Ah that's reasonable - presumably they don't fit USB cards as part of the job (although I'm capable of fitting it myself)

Re one of my otger queries, do they include additional SATA connectors in the case (I'll need them for the additional HDDs)?

Also, does the case have a bay for me to swap my existing DVD burner over + does it have a CD/DVD drive?

Your best bet would be to contact them directly and advise them if they could put a note on your order for the technician to add in the cabling for the extra HDDs you want to add. Let them know make / model / size / connectors required and Im sure they will do this for you.

I cant answer the second part sorry.

@PauApp theyve got 1660 GPUs back in stock on the configurator at the moment. It’s a much better Gpu for the price difference if you were interested and wanted to amend. (Wasn’t an option before)

Many thanks Martin - how many USB 3 ports does that now give me (I need 8) - will my system support a second card like you describe?

yeah your system will support it, think with whats on the case & the motherboard and that card you'll end up with about 10 USB 3 and a couple of USB 2
