Hi all,
just taken delivery of a new bare-metal laptop (including "ONBOARD GIGABIT LAN & WIRELESS 802.11N CARD") and loaded Centos 5.5 with a view to running OpenVZ and a number of virtual machines including a Ubuntu image.
My problem is that no network devices show (System/Administration/Network). No eth0, for example, no wireless interface, no nothing. The network card appears to be either Azurewave AW-NE766 or Azurewave AW-NE770, so I figure that either Centos doesn't recognise it or there's a hardware fault from new. I'd prefer the former, of course ...
PCSpecialist offer a RedHat build as standard (Centos is rebadged RedHat, effectively) so the correct rpms must exist for this card. I'll have a poke around on the net to see if I can come up with something but if anyone has any wisdom I'd be glad to hear.
I ran out of time last night and am at work now so I don't have the thing in front of me in case anyone has a question for me but I'll be back on the case this evening!
TIA
