New PC after 12 years!

Hi,

So am looking for a new PC after 12 years with my trusted i7 2600k! I used to do PC gaming but not so much now and have moved onto the PS5

I wanted a quiet PC that I can work with and would last me the same amount of time if possible with no maintenance required in between, please can you check the PC below and suggest any recommendations. Going to be using my existing 1080p 60 Hz monitor.

Sorry we missed this.

To get the above ship worthy, there would have to be increases to storage and cooling and PSU which would amount to quite a substantially more expensive system.

With an AMD build, and assuming you can carry across your existing windows license, you can get something just over budget that is far better anyway

Thanks for the reply. I would need Windows 11 as currently have Windows 10 as I cannot update to Windows 11 due to the old chipset on my current PC.

Would you be able to configure me one with the Intel CPU? I could probably stretch to 1500, if it is going to last me another 12 years!

Hi all Quite a few people already have a windows 10 License which they want to transfer over to the new PC. Windows 10 now makes this easy, even if you have an OEM license, you can legitimately turn it into a "digital license" by tying it to your microsoft account, and then transfer it legally...

I wouldn’t be that cruel! Intel are now the poor performers, they’re the chips you want to avoid, run stupidly hot, use significantly more power, and far less efficient. Intel are now what AMD were in their bulldozer days, you certainly won’t get a quiet pc with Intel, they run far too hot and need top end coolers and even then normally still thermal throttle
