use the display port cable, don't have them both plugged in at the same time, you only need one, the only time you'd use 2 is if you were using 2 monitors

He was just using the TV though before and wasnt getting a display. He just used the monitor to establish if it was the TV or something else causing the problem
Seems he cant get anything working with the HDMI connections on the GPU even with just one display.

Yeah theres no display port on the tv just hdmi 2.0 and 2.1. I think there’s problems with 3080s and hdmi 2.1.

Some still have problems it seems but currently I have mine working, 3080 strix, 2.1 HDMI connection to LG CX, 120hz is set in display settings in the PC settings, HDR on or off works too, some seem to lose signal if setting HDR on in the display settings on PC.

I have HDMI deep colour on in the TV settings, instant game response on.
