OK - this is getting a bit silly now. I won’t mention this topic again as the thread is going off the rails and crashing down the hillside.

Just because he wants to stick with Intel and doesn’t want AMD has nothing to do with anyone’s ability to give him advice on his Intel build - Motherboard, RAM, peripherals, another Intel chip, etc.

Telling him coming here was pointless just because he won’t do what we say and change to AMD is unhelpful at best and elitist at worst.

Just help the guy/girl out for goodness sake!! Be nice! That’s what this Forum is all about from all I have seen!!

(Sorry Andjef796 I stepped on you accidentally.....)

No problem. However the OP has already said he is very happy with what he’s ordered so advisers have moved on to those not sure and actually seeking help.

If the OP wants further advice on the build and wants to stick to Intel he can ask about the rest.

@oldtimer2020 As mentioned above, you have 2 slow drives (slow compared to what is out there anyway)...I have just compared the prices and, if you replaced those 2 Samsungs with 2 x 512GB PCS M.2 SSDs, you would not only save over £30 but would also get significantly faster speeds...in fact, if you change one of the PCS M.2 SSDs to a 1TB one, you get nearly 500GB of storage for £30....a bargain

Obviously it's your choice but M.2 drives can be more than double the speed of normal SSDs (and 4 times the read speeds) and, in this case, the PCS version, cheaper. If you want to add in an M.2 drive, then there is a separate menu for it (to get the second one, you need to click on additional storage)...all this can be done from your order in your account and there are no charges for it or changing your queue placement. To me, it's a no-brainer.
Yeah I think these days the normal SSD are a bit of a piggy in the middle as HDD are great for general storage and SSD M.2 for stuff that needs to load fast, and asyou say with the small price difference it is a no brainer to go M.2

The PCS M.2 is singificantly cheaper than the Samsung SSDs so it would be silly to even buy the Samsungs....I do love Samsung products and I have a Samsung SSD in my system as storage (was the primary drive in my old system) but you pay for the branding. The PCS M.2 drives are just stupidly cheap for the performance you get....to get 4 times read speed and 2 times write speed for £30 less is just bonkers...that would be like ordering a Ford Escort from the Dealership and then being told you can get a much more powerful Mercedes Benz for less money o_O
The PCS ones seem such a no brainer at the price.

As for Mercedes Benz? Ugh! Jaguar all the way for me. If I ever get one of these I will keep it parked in the drive backwards so I can enjoy the marvellous view of it's bottom from my front room...

That’s the wrong colour for a Jag. It has to be British Racing Green. Red is for Italian sports cars.

Yes very true Bigfoot. It was all I could find with a two second web search.

I originally tried a search for “Lovely Bum Sports Car” but it didn’t end well.....
