Hi Connor,

Welcome to our forums.

From the specification you have put together above, I figure out that your budget is around £650 - £700 max. I have put together the following specification based on this budget which I feel will perform better than the specification originally put together.

Memory (RAM)
4GB SAMSUNG DDR3 DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz (2 X 2GB)
Graphics Card
1GB ATI RADEON™ HD 5770 PCI EXPRESS - DirectX® 11
Memory - 1st Hard Disk
500GB SERIAL ATA 3-Gb/s HARD DRIVE WITH 8MB CACHE (7,200rpm)
1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive
24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM
Memory Card Reader
INTERNAL 52 IN 1 CARD READER (READS XD, MS, CF, SD, etc)
Power Supply & Case Cooling
450W Quiet 80 PLUS Dual Rail PSU + 120mm Case Fan (£25)

I have opted for the slightly less powerful Graphics Card (5770) as I feel this offers much better value for money compared with the 5830. With the money I save here, I have changed the CPU to one of the new Intel Coe i7 760 which is by far a better CPU than the Q9500 you originally selected.

If you have any further questions, fire away! :)

Thanks for the help. Obviously i'm not purchasing till around November/December but with me lowering the graphics card will this judge wether I can play on a game such as Arma 2 on very high detail with out any fuss?
I also didn't see any of the new processers available to buy on the list?

Again, thanks for the help you are providing.

Arma2 is a bit of a hog from what i remember. I actually have it but never really played it.

I'll install it now for you and let you know how it runs on my 5850 at the highest settings. :)

Great thanks, and if it just runs on high details with that I'll have to stick to my original settings with the 5830.

Ok i ran the boot camp and a small part of the first misson on very high and didn't see fps drop below 35.

I was wondering if the PC that Meds suggested would work well with a 5830 cause I might be able to get my hands on the extra money if needed.

Yeah the system will work well with the 5830, although if you were to go anymore powerful than this you will need a 600W PSU.

Well i've decided to go with the 5830 but i've also decided to go with an Intel i5 Quad 2.80Ghz 8MB Cache would that make it better? than the original pace?
