Optimus 3 clicking noise?

Hey guys, I just received my 17 inch Optimus 3 laptop and as soon as I booted up I noticed that there was an continous fast paced-clicking noise at the left back. I was just wondering if this is normal? It seems fairly loud. But here's the weird thing, when I close the laptop and open it up again the noise stops. And after about 5 minutes of not doing anything demanding (browsing, viewing files, etc.) it starts up again. Does anyone know what this is caused by and if it can be fixed?

Thanks for the quick reply, will do this.
Also I have noticed that the noise starts up immediately when I run something more demanding such as Chess Titans. And before you hear the noise it sort revs twice. Not too sure how to describe it.
