I'm just wondering if it's because I've got a part in my machine which isn't in stock or something, if I knew I'd swap it out to try and speed it up :/

I just paid for standard build. As we have all ordered different spec I guess, like you have said, if a part isn't in stock other laptops will take priority.

got an email saying my laptop has been built and going into testing

order date 24th Sept 17 working days

I did wonder about components that might be out of stock but the person I spoke to in live chat said for my spec they were all in stock for the most part my spec was fairly standard the only thing I had wondered about was the SSD drive
