I have been looking for a new laptop for quite a while. It was not easy to find a system which I had in my mind. My main problem was combination of CPU and GPU.
Most companies produce limited number of models with gaming GPU. Having done a lot of research I found Clevo company which produces customisable platforms for laptops.
So I started looking for a retailer of Clevo laptops and finally I came across Pc Specialist. ;) Here is my experience.

1. Ordering and delivery were great. Have not had any problems. I could track a whole process via my account which is very convenient. It arrived in a well-packed box. 10/10

2. First impression of the laptop was awesome. Simple but very pleasant design, no useless signs/stickers/brand symbols on outer surface. 10/10

3. Build quality initially looked good but I had several issues here. First of all, my DVD-ROM would not close. It might have taken me several attempts to close it. As DVD-ROM
is mechanical part and tend to break more frequently I believe I was a bit unlucky. So I contacted customer service and got it replaced next day. It was pretty easy to remove DVD-ROM and put new one.
There is a guidance on DVD with drivers to help. Second of all, later on I also noticed that my built-in camera is not right. It was working but background was tilted. I had to contact customer service again.
The solution was to send the laptop back to have it fixed. I was about to go on holidays that time so I decided to postpone it for a while. Third of all, I also noticed that my touch pad is not working correctly. Right
button was "stuck". I reinstalled the drivers but it did not help. I contacted the customer service and sent my laptop to fix touch pad as well as built-in camera. I got my laptop back in 5 days time. Now everything
seems working as intended. Moreover, in my opinion Onkyo speakers are not very good, however, THX studio software helps to improve sound quality quite a lot so it is worth checking software setting and options. 6/10

4. Performance wise machine is great. If you are a casual gamer but want to play high settings (some games even ultra) or running professional applications such as Photoshop it is a good choice. However, consider your needs carefully and refer to nvidia and intel pages for full information on CPU and GPU you want buy. Excellent screen with full-HD resolution is really eye-pleasing. 10/10

5. The customer service is excellent. Every time I called people were very friendly, polite and helpful. All minor issues I have had with my laptop have been resolved. 10/10

To conclude, even though I had several problems, I am quite satisfied with my purchase. I personally believe that all issues which I had is due to Clevo is focusing mainly on ability to customise their machines and less on things like speakers, touch pads, keyboards etc. in order to maintain value/performance ratio as a result these things tend to develop fault time-to-time.

Nice review, good points. I found the speakers on my Genesis IV were pretty terrible, too, until I actually installed the audio software (usually just drivers are enough).

Hey, I have bought the exact same setup as you. What are you getting with various benchmark software? Some of my results have been very average...I am running Arma 2 (a few years old) and only being able to run it on a mixture of med and high settings before it loses smooth play....oh I'm running Windows 8.

Hi there! I totally agree with you the most of the games can only be run on med/high settings. Several games like Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 work on high/ultra settings.
I only use Fraps to monitor FPS rate. Also I have setup Nvidia Geforce Experience which recommnds settings for quite a lot of games. The good point of this software as it shows graphical effects for a choosen game so it is possible to adjust settings by increasing more desirable and decreasing less desirable effects without losing much performance. For example, shadows in Diablo 3 affect performance quite a lot but if you decrease it form high to medium performance improves by 10-20 fps duing the load while visually I do not feel any difference at all.
I hope It helps.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. I'm a tad skeptical that my GPU is running at 100%....I ran passmark on 3D and got about 430 when Nvidia global settings are on auto. .....and 630 whem I force the GPU on. Passmark have our 660M rated at 1500? If I'm not comparing apples with apples let me know!

Hello again! Just run a test on my system using Passmark and got the same results when Nvidia global settings on auto. When you run a test, you can notice in a test window which card is being tested. Passmark does not use Nvidia card at all. I have no idea why, as a result, the marks are only based on Intel Graphic Card. Regarding Nvidia global settings it only helps to adjust how you want to run particular application but it does not override Integrated GPU. I think I have seen laptops when manufacturer allows override Integrated GPU completely but in our case I do not think there is such an option. Technically Passmark should understand how to switch on both cards during the test but it seems not.

Also I have checked benchmarks for Arma 2. I usually use this site to check anything about laptops. Unfortunately, they did not use 660M to test the game as it is not new but there are similar cards.

GTX 580M (675M new name) is more powerful than 660M but it allows only 43 FPS on ultra settings. Therefore, it seems appropriate that 660M can only run game on medium/high settings.
One more thing makes also the difference is driver. I believe there is lack of optimization for Arma 2 as it is again not new.
Overall, I understand your feelings as I would also expect 3 years old game to run high/ultra setting with relatively powerful GPU.
