Ordering a Desktop....have own GPU

If I order a desktop system using the 'I have my own Graphics Card option' (assume an i5-2500k/P8P67 PRO) what do you do in the way of testing ?

Do you use a 'temp' GPU and if so is it ATI or Nvidia ?
Do you leave 1/2 6/8 Pin connectors close to the relevent PCI slot ?
Anything else ?

We use a test gpu, could be anything really.

Generally at least one set of PCI-e power are left loose.

As Gorman stated, we have several different brands of tester graphics cards, and we can't guarantee which one we will use. It won't make any difference to the operation on your computer whether we use an ATI or Nvidia card.
